The SCAR ZERO Frequency Resistant - Visual Signaling (FR-VS) Ballistic Helmet by SCARAB LLC addresses the critical need for reliable GPS connectivity in GPS-denied environments. This innovative helmet allows users to place GPS-reliant devices inside, ensuring signal reception from satellite uplinks and transceivers even in hostile conditions. This is achieved through the frequency resistant coating that provides nearly constant signal attenuation regardless of polarization direction with frequencies up to 18GHz. Users can orient the FR-VS Helmet towards the satellite uplink to receive the downlink signal while minimizing or negating ground-based interference.

Our solution enables location services without the need for additional hardware, providing a strategic advantage on the modern battlefield.
The FR-VS Helmet is built on sound scientific principles of signal assurance and satellite communication. Our technology leverages proven methodologies to assure GPS signal reception in GPS-denied environments. The frequency resistant coating attenuates against 1.57542 GHz (L1 band) and 1.2276 GHz (L2 band) jamming. The coatings uniform attenuation also ensures L1 and L2 band variance will not negatively impact performance for up to approximately 43 decibels.
